Rookhurst Lodge is a detached 6 (Six) bedded registered residential home.  We provide support and care for people living with learning disabilities, mental ill health, autistic spectrum disorders, as well as people who may display moderate to high behaviours of concern and associated complex needs.

The care and support we provide to our Service Users is comprehensive, integrated, holistic and focusses on the uniqueness of the individual within a homely environment, all with a person-centred approach which is Service User led.

We also promote and encourage independence and social integration by means of a range of social, educational and work-related activities within the local environment.  All Service Users attend daily structured activities at various facilities within the home and community.

Public and private transport links ensure easy access for social mobility.

We promote choice and healthy eating through encouraging ‘The eat-well plate’ policy that defines the Government’s recommendations on the types and portions of food people need, for a healthy and well-balanced diet.

We have an open-door policy for family and friends to visit and become involved in the daily lives and activities of our Service Users.

Effective care and support require a multidisciplinary approach; therefore, we work closely with a network of health and social care professionals to promote and maintain service users’ good health and well-being.
