As the Registered Manager of Linden Lodge, Becky is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and meaningful environment for the young people in her care. She began her career at Linden Lodge in 2018 as a Support Worker and has progressed through her roles to become Registered Manager, a position she has held for over four years.
Becky strongly believes in the therapeutic value of everyday experiences. She is particularly passionate about the positive impact that sport, outdoor activity, and connection with nature can have on a young person’s emotional wellbeing and development. She works to ensure these opportunities are embedded into daily life, helping young people to regulate, reflect, and build confidence in themselves.
At the heart of Becky’s approach is PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy). She views this not simply as a framework for practice, but as a way of building meaningful relationships. She leads by example to create a culture within the home where relationships are genuine, trusting, and based on understanding.
Becky holds both her Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in Residential Childcare, which support her practice and leadership within the home. She also has a degree in Music and Drama, with a particular focus on their therapeutic benefits when working with young people. In addition, she has recently completed her Athletics Coaching qualification, further supporting her commitment to promoting wellbeing through physical activity.
Becky has a strong interest in Attachment Theory and Erikson’s Stages of Development, using these frameworks to guide a trauma-informed approach to care. She believes that understanding each young person’s experiences and developmental needs is essential in supporting them to heal, grow, and develop a strong sense of identity.
Outside of work, Becky is a member of a local athletics club, where she also serves on the board as Children’s Engagement Officer. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and regularly takes part in parkrun events. Becky has also delivered several workshops focused on mental health and resilience for a men’s mental health charity.
Becky is proud to lead a team that shares these values, and together they are committed to ensuring every young person at Linden Lodge feels safe, valued, and able to thrive.
