Courtney began her career in residential childcare in 2019 and has since developed a strong child-centred and therapeutic approach to supporting young people. As Deputy Manager at Linden Lodge, she supports the Registered Manager, Becky, in maintaining a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for the young people in the home.
Her practice focuses on building meaningful relationships through shared experiences, creativity, and engaging activities that support trust, emotional development, and positive interactions. She incorporates PACE into her everyday work, ensuring her approach remains supportive, non-judgemental, and responsive to each young person’s individual needs. She is passionate about creating a warm, homely environment where young people feel valued, develop a sense of belonging, and are supported to reach their full potential.
In her personal time, Courtney enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, creating meaningful memories and maintaining strong, positive relationships. She values the importance of connection and shared experiences, which is reflected in her approach to working with young people.
She also has a keen interest in high-adrenaline activities and enjoys experiences that are both exciting and challenging. She believes these activities help build resilience, confidence, and a positive mindset, values she brings into her professional role when encouraging young people to try new experiences and develop their self-esteem.
