Title: Quality and Compliance Manager

Role: To Support Focus Care and Trust Care in co-ordination and advise on quality matters to ensure regulatory compliance.

Experience: I am a specialist nurse who has spent many years working in the NHS and private sectors with a special interest in heart and lung transplant for adults, teenagers and children. I had the privilege of being part of Papworth Hospital ICU and Chest Medical Unit dealing with complex transplant cases. I have worked in management for the CCG and private sector, in education and governance, and for five years in the support of care homes setting up the Care Home project in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. I believe every single person alive should be given the chance to have a good quality of life and to experience life’s riches whatever their circumstances bring. I have spent many years in India with the charities ‘Families for Children’ and the ‘Hope Foundation’, who care for and educate orphaned children and babies who otherwise would have very poor prospects in life, and help them to find new families.

Interests:  I love family life and being with my grandchildren. I enjoy being at the gym and cycle every morning to classes before work. I am definitely an outdoor person; I love to walk on mountains and to ride horses when on holiday.
